Japanese artist Riusuke Fukahori paints three-dimensional goldfish using a complex process of poured resin. The fish are painted meticulously, layer by layer, the sandwiched slices revealing slightly more about each creature, similar to the function of a 3D printer. I really enjoy the rich depth of the pieces and the optical illusion aspect, it’s such an odd process that results in something that’s both a painting and sculptural.

From the time they were able to hold a pencil, Supakitch and Koralie started scribbling, daubing with colour, colouring, drawing graffiti, compositing, sewing cutting out, and scrawling… Everything they could get their hands on. Then, as teenagers during the 90’s they immersed themselves fully, clad in baggy-trousers, into skateboarding, hip-hop. Graffiti and raves, whilst progressing naturally through their artistic studies; Supakitch doing Graphic Art and Koralie studying Architecture. Laterally, they both expressed themselves personally by painting illegally on walls of cities and by exhibiting their first canvasses.

Nowadays, Supakitch and Koralie exhibit and paint in the four corners of the world; from Taiwan to New York, Paris to L.A., Peking to Guttenberg and Mexico to Miami…Well-known galleries represent them or they appear to create frescos on the spot, exchanging their mark in the city against the inspiration it has provided them.
"Euphorie" is their latest work.
